Uyghur American Association and other well-known prominent Jewish Human Rights organization held an online event on Monday February 14. About 300 people joined the call and listened to our President, Kuzzat Altay’s and camp survivor, Tursinay Ziyavudun’s heartbreaking personal stories. Uyghur Americans joined forces with George Washington University students to protest the CCP’s influence at GWU and demand #DivestGWfromTheUyghurGenocide

Besides the student activists, UAA and UHRP members informed many students and reporters about the current phase of the Uyghur Genocide. Universities need to be on the frontlines of speaking up against the Human rights atrocities that take place anywhere in the world such as East Turkistan, Tibet and Hong Kong. GWU must divest from the Uyghur genocide & refuse CCP censorship! President of GWU agreed to meet with the students who has organized these successful demonstration. We would like to thank everyone who contributed to this protest.

Today, February 3, 2022, UAA members joined the #Nobeijing2022 rally organized by Victims of Communism in front of the US Capitol in Washington DC. Congressman Chris Smith, Ambassador Andrew Bremberg, and many other Human Rights organizations leaders and activists stood together in solidarity and told the world that the CCP cannot sport-wash its crimes.

Ahead of the Beijing Winter Olympics, join us at the U.S. Capitol to denounce the atrocities and grave human rights abuses being committed by the Chinese government.
