Advocacy Event

On Tuesday, December 10, 2019 over 50 Uyghur advocacy members were divided into 6 groups and visited all three Senate buildings and knocked every Senator’s door to explain the urgency of passing the Uyghur Human Rights Policy Act of 2019 in the Senate.

Advocacy Training Meeting

UAA organized Advocacy training event on Sunday December 8, 2019 at the Uyghur Center. Approximately 100 patriotic Uyghurs attended the advocacy preparation meeting. In that meeting, Nuri Turkel provided the participants with some basic knowledge on the US laws and legislative processes. Then Elfidar Iltebir and Tumaris Almas shared UAA’s plan and strategies with the community.
